Who we are

The YWCA Auckland is an Incorporated Society, registered with the Charities Commission.  We have been in Auckland for 125 years, running a hostel and community programmes that aim to empower women.  These programmes reflect the changing needs of women over the years.  We continually work as a voice for women; lobbying and advocating on relevant issues.

We support and nurture women toward greater strength, confidence and success by providing resources, opportunites and guidance to enable them to reach their full potential.

We are part of a global network of women leading social and economic change in 125 countries worldwide.  We reach more than 25 million women and girls through work in 22,000 communities, developing women's leadership to find local solutions to the global inequalities women face.
