We’re looking for inspiring women, especially those who have been involved with the YWCA Auckland, and girls to speak at our Events and share their experiences.  If you know a young woman with a story to share or a flair for public speaking? We want to hear from you. For more info, email marlene@akywca.org.nz.

We’re looking for self-identifying women in New Zealand to join our feminist blogging network. You can blog, write poetry, use GIFs, memes, share illustrations and artwork. We’re open to creative ideas. Guest bloggers living elsewhere also welcome, particularly from other YWCAs.  For more info, email marlene@akywca.org.nz.

Take part in our insights research

Every year we undertake an insights assessment to capture the diverse voices of young women in Auckland and YOU could be a volunteer researcher or have your voice heard.
If you, or a group of young women, are interested in taking part please email: futureleaders@akywca.org.nz.

Become a mentor

Our Future Leaders Programme depends on volunteer Mentors for its continued success.  Simply commit to weekly phone calls & monthly catch ups for three years & you will receive extensive mentor training & on-going support. To register for the next mentor training please email: futureleaders@akywca.org.nz.

Become a volunteer

Our volunteers make a real difference to the work we do in the community; and we are always keen to have administrative or marketing help. If you have some time to spend with us, let us know what your skills are and how you would like to help, we would love to hear from you - please email marlene@akywca.org.nz.

Fundraising

As a not for profit, we offer free community programmes to young women and our reach is limited only by the funding and support we receive.   Every dollar can make a big difference!

 How you can help us:
“Hey, I’m supporting a great charity, doing great things…”

Your support and involvement with helping us to fundraise is actively welcomed and encouraged. We’d love you to use your contacts and resources so that we can be the recipients of the funds you raise.
Please contact us on 09 522 8165 or email anna@akywca.org.nz if you have any questions.

Your support of the YWCA Auckland empowers women and strengthens communities.
